Carla Jeffery, known for her role in the Disney Channel franchise Zombies, has died.
The actress, who portrayed the character Bree, was remembered by representatives at Alexanders Talent Management as a valued member of their team for over two decades.
The management team stated that watching her develop from a young performer into a professional actress was a privilege, and they noted her uplifting presence and natural abilities.
Expressions of sympathy were extended to her family, with requests made for their privacy to be upheld during this period.
A cause of death was not provided.
Co-stars from the Zombies series shared their reactions to the news.
Chandler Kinney, who played Willa in the franchise, posted photographs of the two together and stated that the situation felt surreal.
Kinney described Jeffery as someone who consistently lifted the spirits of those around her through her upbeat approach.
The tribute noted Jeffery’s apparent authenticity, observing that the energetic personality she displayed on screen reflected her true character.
Milo Manheim, who portrayed Zed in the series, also posted images and described Jeffery as a consistently warm and caring individual.
The original Zombies production centered on students attending an educational establishment alongside undead inhabitants.
Subsequent instalments expanded the narrative to include werewolf, alien, and vampire characters.
Jeffery was born in Houston and commenced her professional acting career in 2006, appearing in the film Phat Girlz alongside Mo’Nique.
Her casting as Bree occurred in 2018, and she subsequently reprised the role in the second and third instalments released in 2020 and 2022 respectively.
She also provided voice work for the 2024 animated continuation series Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.
Her twin brother, Carlon Jeffery, also works in the entertainment industry and notably appeared in the Disney Channel series A.N.T.
Farm in the role of Cameron Parks.
