A collection of pubs will contribute a portion of proceeds from Carling sales throughout September to assist food bank operations in local areas.
The initiative forms part of Proper Pubs’ yearly Heroes of Hunger programme, conducted alongside Carling, with the objective of addressing food insecurity through monetary contributions and gathering necessary food supplies.
Nathan Wall, managing director at Proper Pubs, stated that supporting community ventures such as neighbourhood food banks remains fundamental to the company’s operations.
He noted that such assistance proves vital during a difficult period for numerous individuals throughout the United Kingdom as household finances continue to affect various families and people.
The programme spans the entirety of September and encompasses establishments located throughout England, Scotland, and Wales.
During the previous year, the initiative generated more than £15,000 alongside provisions sufficient to sustain 1,300 individuals for one week.
Proper Pubs functions as the community-oriented, wet-led sector of Admiral Taverns and manages in excess of 200 pubs throughout the United Kingdom.
