Pride of Shipley closes kitchen after food service deemed unsustainable

Published on

A pub in Shipley has permanently shuttered its kitchen after determining that operating the food service was no longer economically viable.

The establishment, situated in Market Square, communicated the closure through social media, citing insufficient customer interest and escalating operational expenses as the primary reasons behind the decision.

The venue had previously attempted to revive its food offering following requests from regular patrons.

Management reported that despite these efforts, demand remained insufficient to justify continued kitchen operations.

Rising ingredient costs combined with substantial food waste ultimately prompted the final decision to cease all food preparation permanently.

The business confirmed that it would continue operating as a drinking establishment, with drinks, promotional deals, live sports broadcasts, entertainment events, and the venue’s social atmosphere remaining available to visitors.

Representatives expressed gratitude to those who had supported the food service during its operation.
