A fresh television production will offer viewers an alternative perspective on Kaleb Cooper, the agricultural advisor featured alongside Jeremy Clarkson in the popular Countryside series.
The four-part programme, titled Kaleb: Down Under, will chronicle Cooper’s inaugural independent project as he travels to Australia for his inaugural airborne journey.
The series represents the Chipping Norton-based farming contractor’s initial venture into international markets, presenting him with the task of establishing connections within one of the globe’s most substantial agricultural sectors.
The show will document Cooper’s interactions with Australian agricultural professionals, his immersion in the regional customs, and his examination of farming methodologies across the nation’s varied landscapes.
Fazia Khan, director of unscripted British original productions for Amazon MGM Studios, unveiled the project during the Edinburgh Television Festival.
Khan emphasised how the programme would reveal aspects of Cooper’s personality previously unseen by audiences, noting that the format would challenge him significantly beyond his established routine.
The launch is scheduled for early in the following year.
Viewers familiar with Cooper’s established preference for remaining close to his Oxfordshire base may find his decision to pursue overseas expansion noteworthy.
The project will capture his inaugural flight experience, with the destination being Australia.
In the original Clarkson’s Farm series, Cooper serves as the agricultural authority who provides guidance to Clarkson, frequently in an outspoken manner.
This new venture will demonstrate his capabilities in unfamiliar circumstances, offering audiences a different dimension of his character.
Cooper communicated his anticipation through a written statement, indicating that proximity to an individual with extensive global experience prompted his decision to undertake his inaugural flight.
He noted his intention to spend several months in Australia while investigating the potential for extending his farming contracting enterprise beyond British borders.
Cooper rose to prominence in 2021 through his appearance in the inaugural series of Clarkson’s Farm, where he demonstrated considerable expertise as a farm worker assisting Clarkson, who possessed limited prior farming knowledge.
Following his initial period working under the supervision of Howard Pauling, Cooper’s comprehensive understanding of local agricultural practices and his dedicated approach secured him an ongoing position supporting Clarkson, ultimately resulting in his prominent position within the Prime Video production.
Cooper is married to Taya, and the pair have three children together.
