A family-run jewellers business in Bradford was targeted in a ram-raid incident on Saturday afternoon.
Pakistan Jewellers, located on Duckworth Lane, suffered damage when a four-wheel-drive vehicle was driven through the front window of the premises.
Officers attended the scene and established a police cordon around the property.
A police van was positioned outside the shop as enquiries got under way.
The incident caused significant damage to the storefront.
The owners expressed frustration at the attack.
Work to repair the damage is expected to require approximately three to four hours, during which time the business will remain closed to customers for at least one full day.
Three people were inside the shop at the time of the incident.
Muhammad Ali, who operates the business alongside his father Muhammad Ilyas, reported that a female customer sustained a blow when the vehicle smashed through the window.
She was not seriously hurt.
Emergency services were summoned and staff provided the woman with water before she recovered.
Nothing was taken from the premises during the raid.
Ali described how he had grabbed a bat and moved to confront the intruders as the vehicle came through the window.
He stated that he threw an object at one of the attackers, striking the back of their head.
The confrontation lasted approximately 35 seconds.
Investigations into the ram-raid are continuing.
