A medical practice in Skipton has confirmed its sponsorship of a popular seasonal community event for the second year running.
Fisher Medical Centre is backing the Great Skipton Santa Fun Run, with staff members set to participate in and volunteer at the occasion.
Dr Shane Beggan, a GP partner at the practice, expressed enthusiasm for the involvement, describing the event as an important opportunity to support local charitable causes and celebrate the beginning of the Christmas period.
The GP highlighted the practice’s long-standing presence in the town and its commitment to community initiatives.
The annual fundraiser is now in its 17th year and is scheduled to take place in Skipton on Sunday, November 29.
Representatives from the Rotary Club of Skipton have indicated that registration is currently open for participants wishing to join the event.
Paul Ellis from the organisation noted that the fun run provides a valuable chance for residents to contribute to local community causes.
Staff members from the Fisher Medical Centre will be present both as volunteers and runners on the day of the event.
