A jewellers shop on Duckworth Lane was targeted in a ram raid on September 5.
A four-by-four vehicle was driven through the front window of Pakistan Jewellers at approximately 1:28pm, causing extensive damage to the property’s entrance.
The incident left the establishment with significant structural damage to its frontage.
By the following morning, security shutters had been lowered over the affected area while wooden boarding was fitted over the shattered window frame.
Emergency services personnel established a restricted zone around the location, with police tape remaining in place along the adjacent road.
Personnel arriving at the scene shortly before 9am on September 6 observed scattered debris, including pieces of timber, still lying in front of the premises.
The business remained closed to customers following the incident while investigations continued.
