Police in West Yorkshire have confiscated an electric motorbike following complaints about irresponsible riding behaviour in a local community.
The Sur-Ron model was recovered by officers in Addingham on 4 September after an investigation linked the machine to a specific property.
According to a statement from West Yorkshire Police, the neighbourhood policing team had been alerted to several incidents over the preceding weeks involving a man operating a Sur-Ron electric motorcycle dangerously and inconsiderately throughout the village streets.
Through liaison with residents, officers managed to trace a property connected to the individual responsible.
On the evening of the intervention, constables attended the premises, encountered the rider, and located the vehicle in question.
The motorbike was then taken into police possession.
The force recognised that the unlawful and inconsiderate use of such powered two-wheelers represented a widespread challenge across its operational area.
Officers were described as continuing to engage actively with communities in efforts to mitigate the problem.
