Police remain at Holmfield Court flats in Bradford after cordon and forensic officers

Published on

Law enforcement officers remained stationed at a residential building in Bradford on Monday morning following the establishment of a security perimeter and the arrival of forensic specialists.

A patrol car belonging to West Yorkshire Police was observed outside Holmfield Court on Thornton Road during a site visit on Monday morning.

The ongoing police operation followed sightings of crime scene investigators, detective personnel and officers in uniform at the address on Sunday.

Local residents reported a substantial presence of emergency services in the vicinity, with a police perimeter established as investigations proceeded.

A woman was discovered deceased at the Bradford residential complex, with authorities classifying the circumstances as unexplained.

By Monday morning, no crime scene tape was in evidence at the front of the premises, though officers continued their presence at the location.

Holmfield Court occupies a prominent position as a large residential development situated on Thornton Road in proximity to Bradford’s central area.

The property previously housed Stephen Griffiths, who acquired notoriety as the individual known by the moniker Crossbow Cannibal following the killings of three women in Bradford between 2009 and 2010.

Griffiths resided in the building at the time of the offences and subsequently received a life sentence.
