A motorist attracted police attention after initially evading officers and subsequently exchanging positions with a passenger, according to West Yorkshire Police.
Patrol officers from the Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team were conducting routine surveillance along Halifax Road when an Audi S3 came into view.
Upon activation of emergency equipment by officers, the vehicle accelerated away at speed rather than complying with the request to stop.
Approximately a quarter of an hour subsequently, the same vehicle was located by officers travelling in the Bingley direction heading toward Bradford.
The car eventually halted when officers deployed their emergency lights a second time.
Following dialogue with those inside the vehicle, it was established that the individual who had been operating the car had repositioned themselves in the passenger seat.
The driver subsequently faced reporting for operating a vehicle without appropriate insurance cover and for failing to comply with police directions to stop.
The Audi S3 was seized due to the absence of valid insurance documentation.
