The Cuore Chamber Orchestra has announced its return to Harrogate’s Royal Hall for the opening concert of its 2026/27 season.
The event is scheduled for November 6.
The ensemble, which launched its inaugural season last year with performances at three venues across Yorkshire, will present compositions by Grieg and Mozart during the concert.
William Dutton, who established and serves as artistic director of the orchestra, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming performance following the success of the group’s first year of concerts.
British violinist Jennifer Pike, who holds the distinction of being the youngest recipient of the BBC Young Musician of the Year title, will perform as guest soloist.
The programme also includes the Yorkshire premiere of Meditations for Strings, composed by Michael Berkeley, who is both a composer and broadcaster.
Berkeley noted the ensemble’s commitment to promoting orchestral music in Yorkshire, particularly works by contemporary and 21st-century composers.
