Marrose Abrasives is marking five decades of operation this year, having established its Keighley base in 1976 before expanding into a global supplier of abrasive products.
The firm, which began as a modest regional enterprise, now serves customers throughout the United Kingdom and international markets.
A company representative noted that the milestone represents a journey from local origins to worldwide trade connections, with Keighley serving as the foundation throughout this period.
The spokesperson indicated that sharing the company’s half-century narrative with the surrounding community was a priority, acknowledging that the business has developed international relationships while maintaining its West Yorkshire roots.
According to the representative, reaching the 50-year mark locally while simultaneously establishing Keighley’s reputation on a global scale has been a significant achievement.
The team also expressed a desire to acknowledge those individuals who contributed to the company’s development over the years.
To commemorate the anniversary, Marrose Abrasives plans to celebrate at glasstec in Düsseldorf, an event recognised as one of the most prominent gatherings within the glass manufacturing sector.
