Officers from the Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out vehicle enforcement activity resulting in four seizures during a single day of operations in the area.
The action included a stolen motor car alongside additional vehicles identified as lacking valid insurance cover.
On September 20, patrol officers received notification regarding a Seat Alhambra that had been reported stolen from South Yorkshire one week prior.
The vehicle was observed travelling through Saltaire, where officers from the Shipley neighbourhood team provided assistance in bringing the car to a halt.
Despite the driver presenting documentation that suggested the individual had purchased the vehicle in good faith as an innocent third party, the car was taken into police custody.
South Yorkshire Police were afforded the opportunity to pursue additional investigation into the reported theft.
During the afternoon, a separate report was received concerning a Nissan X-Trail operating under questionable circumstances in the vicinity of Keighley town centre.
The motor car was located in a nearby street and subsequent checks established that it lacked valid insurance, current road tax, and a valid MOT certificate.
The vehicle was consequently seized by officers.
Throughout the course of the day, traffic enforcement officers conducted speed checks on multiple road users.
Two of the vehicles stopped for exceeding speed limits were subsequently found to be uninsured.
By 3pm, the total number of vehicles seized had reached four.
