A group of property sector professionals has gathered more than £3,300 after completing a demanding outdoor endurance event.
Staff members from Dacre, Son & Hartley joined forces with colleagues from iamproperty, Kempston Parkes Chartered Surveyors, and the Mortgage Advice Bureau for the challenge, which took place on September 17.
The participants covered 24 miles of terrain while raising funds for The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, an organization providing assistance to children across Yorkshire who encounter circumstances such as trauma, abuse, poverty, serious medical conditions, disabilities, and mental health difficulties.
A spokesperson from Dacre, Son & Hartley noted that previous involvement with the charity had revealed the tangible difference its programmes make to young people and their families.
The positive outcome of last year’s activities prompted organizers to pursue an even more ambitious undertaking this time around.
Despite the physical demands of the route, team members drew motivation from knowing their efforts would directly benefit children and families navigating hardship throughout the region.
The collective accomplishment involved traversing rugged landscape while ascending more than 5,200 feet.
Proceeds from the initiative proved sufficient to finance five family holidays, each lasting a week.
These periods away from routine provide parents and children with valuable opportunities to unwind, strengthen family bonds, and generate positive shared experiences.
The head of partnerships, service delivery, and engagement at the charity expressed appreciation on behalf of the organization, extending thanks to the participants and partnered firms for tackling the Three Peaks route and selecting the charity as their fundraising beneficiary for the second consecutive year.
