A travel company operating multiple locations throughout the Bradford area has launched a new outlet in Ilkley.
Olive Lounge Travel officially opened its premises at 9B Leeds Road at the start of September, with a formal celebration for customers scheduled for October 2.
The public event will provide an opportunity for visitors to interact with staff members and discover the range of services offered by the independent travel firm.
Aimi Donohue serves as retail operations manager at the Ilkley location, while Darcey Milsted works as a travel consultant at the same branch.
The team handles booking arrangements for package holidays, flights, private transfers, hotels, vehicle rental and transportation via aircraft, trains, automobiles and ships.
The business also coordinates customised itineraries and vacations through established travel brands.
Olive Lounge Travel traces its origins to 2015, when founders Gillian Polyhos and Elfie Higson launched the enterprise.
Operations commenced from a domestic setting in Silsden prior to relocating to permanent premises in Cross Hills.
A subsequent branch opened in Barrowford, followed by locations in Bingley during 2024 and Skipton scheduled for November 2025.
The Barrowford shop ceased operations during the coronavirus pandemic when international movement ceased, though the Cross Hills site remained trading.
Following the resurgence in travel bookings, the company expanded its network and selected Ilkley for its latest location.
The directors had been seeking a presence in Ilkley for some time and identified the Leeds Road property after evaluating potential sites.
According to the business, its independent positioning enables personnel to access diverse tour operators and suppliers, supported by the company’s accumulated expertise.
The workforce comprises 14 full-time staff members, with an additional three employees carrying out duties remotely.
Company representatives highlighted that dedication to individualised customer care has generated returning clients and sustained patronage.
Ms Donohue explained that the personalised attention and confidence provided by the personnel form the foundation of the company’s achievements.
Collectively, the staff members possess in excess of a century of professional expertise within the travel sector.
The company received recognition as Yorkshire’s Leading Agency 2025 at the TTG UK Top 50 Awards ceremony held in Manchester.
The competition identifies outstanding travel agencies nationwide, with Olive Lounge Travel selected among the leading 50 entries.
The October 2 celebration will occur at the Leeds Road location.
Attendees will have the chance to engage with employees, seek guidance and explore holiday options matching their financial plans and itinerary preferences.
The gathering will demonstrate the methods by which the firm arranges vacations, transportation and lodging through its network of operators and providers.
The Ilkley establishment extends these offerings to local inhabitants, while the company maintains operations from additional sites throughout the district and surrounding territory.
