A fire involving illegally dumped waste was brought under control by emergency services in the Bradford area.
Crews from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to reports of an outdoor blaze at Hallwood Green on the evening of Thursday, September 24.
The incident occurred at approximately 21:00.
Social media photographs depicted multiple mattresses alight within a paddock adjacent to Roundwood Avenue.
According to a spokesperson for the fire service, crews were dispatched at 20:54 following notification of a fire in the open air.
A single firefighting unit managed the situation, bringing the flames under control.
The burning materials consisted of a fly-tipped mattress alongside tyres that had been abandoned at the location.
Following the completion of firefighting operations, responsibility for the site was transferred to the police.
