Research indicates Bradford has become the British city with the most significant surge in demand for interior painting and home decoration services.
Figures published by Gumtree reveal the city experienced a 271 percent increase in decoration-related requests during this seasonal period.
This development mirrors a wider trend across the country as homeowners tackle projects that were postponed during the colder months now that conditions have warmed up.
Sahil Langa, a services specialist at Gumtree, said finding tradespeople has traditionally appeared uncertain, especially when demand peaks. With interest building earlier this year, customers who delay may discover fewer options available. Preparing ahead makes a considerable difference. The company has concentrated on simplifying the process, improving transparency, and allowing consumers to proceed confidently despite heightened competition.
Other major cities have also seen substantial growth. Birmingham recorded a 221 percent rise in decorating service inquiries, while both Birmingham and Leeds reported a 200 percent increase in general handyman work.
