Officers attended the location on Cemetery Road in Bradford following the discovery of a deceased person in a car parked in the area during the afternoon.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the location at approximately 3.49pm after being notified about the body inside the vehicle.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service had earlier confirmed that ambulance units were despatched to handle the situation.

Images from the location showed a police vehicle positioned behind cordon tape, alongside two ambulances and members of emergency crews.

A security perimeter had been established across the parking area.

Members of the public reported observing numerous police cars and ambulance staff at the parking facility throughout the afternoon.

An individual present at the location described how a significant number of onlookers had collected close to the restricted section.

According to this observer, a group of people could be seen embracing and offering each other solace, with additional people continuing to arrive as the hours passed.

Approximately 60 individuals were estimated to have assembled near the incident.

West Yorkshire Police indicated that their inquiries into the circumstances of the death remain at a preliminary phase.
