Lane End Farm Shop was set up by Martin Hare in 2008, shortly after he began selling high-quality meat from a van parked in the farm’s car park.

According to its website, the shop produces a variety of home-reared beef and lamb, with pork and poultry sourced from nearby farmers.

A broad range of fresh produce and condiments alongside a complete takeaway service featuring sandwiches, pies and various other items is also available.

The ice cream comes from Brymor, a business located in the Yorkshire Dales.

Lane End Farm Shop states that Brymor’s ice cream is made using milk exclusively from a herd of pedigree Guernsey cows that graze on the area’s rich pastures.

The shop also stocks sweet treats, biscuits and cakes from Granny Wilde’s in Steeton and Botham’s of Whitby.

The farm outlet adds that it stocks fresh bread from Maughan’s of Mirfield and its pork originates from the acclaimed West Tanfield Farm situated in Ripon.

Honey is also sourced from Denholme Gate Apiary.
