Patrons at a Brighouse public house could soon notice some alterations described as reflecting current trends, should planning officials give the green light.
Andy Firth from Sizzling Pub and Grill has submitted a request to Calderdale Council seeking advertisement consent for updated signage at the Armytage Arms in Clifton.
The chain intends to refit the establishment’s current freestanding sign to incorporate a single non-moving illuminated display. It also proposes adding seven wall-mounted signs, with two featuring illumination, at the Towngate premises.
The application states the company wishes to modernise the site’s signage by replacing the tall roadside sign and introducing several fresh name, welcome and directional displays incorporating lettering and logos. A car park wayfinding sign forms part of the submission.
Ashleigh Signs has provided visualisations demonstrating how the refreshed signage will appear if approved.
The application, reference 26/10008/ADV, and accompanying images are available on the council’s Planning Portal.
