A Nottingham-based doughnut company is expanding into Yorkshire for the first time with a new retail outlet.

Independent brand Doughnotts has selected Frasers Plus Designer Outlet Leeds as the location for its inaugural store in the county.

The company, which was established seven years ago by Meg Scaddan and Wade Smith, began operations from a domestic kitchen before developing into a popular Midlands business.

To mark the launch, complimentary doughnuts will be offered alongside the initial one hundred transactions on opening day.

Darren Winter, who serves as centre director at the outlet, welcomed the addition, describing the establishment as providing visitors with an additional destination for purchasing sweet treats.

The retailer will stock handcrafted doughnuts alongside rotating seasonal varieties, with combined beverage and pastry packages also set to be available.
