A specialist in Islamic psychology is set to appear at a community gathering being staged in Bradford this weekend.
Dr Abdallah Rothman has been confirmed as the principal speaker at Cultivating Presence: A Journey of Healing & Return, scheduled for Saturday 12 September between 8pm and 10pm at Bradford Muslim College’s Al-Mustafa Centre on Young Street.
The event will comprise a presentation and interactive session examining the relationship between religious belief, spiritual practice, and psychological health.
Farkhandah Faraz, who works as a community pharmacist and is co-organising the occasion, explained that emotional wellbeing affects numerous households locally.
She noted that professionals working in mental health, healthcare workers, carers, and community figures would be particularly welcome.
Additionally, anyone looking for personal support was encouraged to attend.
Faraz highlighted that Dr Rothman’s expertise provides meaningful understanding of how Islamic spiritual practices can promote individual wellness and cohesive communities, alongside actionable techniques applicable to daily life.
Dr Rothman holds recognition as an Islamic psychologist and educator spanning more than two decades.
His professional focus centres on combining classical Islamic educational approaches with contemporary therapeutic methods.
Attendance at the gathering carries no charge, though prior booking is mandatory given venue restrictions.
The programme is being presented jointly by Waseem Mahmood, who established Hijrah Hub Travels, together with Ms Faraz.
