A 32-year-old male has passed away in hospital almost ten days after sustaining life-threatening injuries in a road traffic incident in Bradford.
Emergency services responded to reports of a collision at the intersection of Bolton Road and Leeds Road during the evening of September 21.
The incident, which occurred shortly before 8.15pm, involved an off-road motorbike and a dark-coloured vehicle.
Paramedics conveyed the motorcyclist to hospital with severe head trauma.
Despite medical intervention, the individual succumbed to his injuries on September 30, West Yorkshire Police has confirmed.
Investigating officers from the force’s Major Collision Enquiry Team arrived at the location to find that the car involved had already departed.
Additionally, the off-road motorbike had been taken from the scene by a person yet to be identified.
Authorities are now urging that driver to make contact with police.
The individual responsible for removing the motorbike is also being asked to come forward.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who observed the collision occur or who witnessed subsequent events at the scene.
Any drivers or pedestrians who may have captured the incident on dashcam devices or mobile phones are being encouraged to share that footage.
Those with information can report it through the force’s online reporting system or by telephoning the non-emergency number 101 and referencing log 1603 from September 21.
