Ilkley Lido Doggy Day set for October 10-11 before seasonal closure

Ilkley Lido will suspend operations for the winter months as temperatures begin to fall.

The open-air swimming facility intends to remain accessible for as long as conditions permit, with closure scheduled to occur once the water temperature reaches 10 degrees Celsius or lower.

According to management, protective wetsuits are advisable when conditions drop below 15 degrees.

Swimming durations should be restricted to a maximum of 20 minutes in water measuring below 12 degrees.

Visitors still have opportunities to enjoy the last swims of the 2026 summer season before the facility closes.

A Doggy Day event has been arranged for Saturday 10 October and Sunday 11 October.

Each day will feature three separate booking slots, operating between 9am and 10:30am, 11am and 12:30pm, and 1pm and 2:30pm.

Online ticket sales will commence at 9am on Saturday 26 September.

The charge for canine participants is set at £8.20, which incorporates entry for a single owner.

Supplementary tickets for additional adults are priced at £4.90, while junior tickets cost £3.30.

Advance booking is mandatory for all attendees, and those planning to visit are expected to review the complete Doggy Day regulations prior to arrival.

Professional photography and videography services will be available throughout the duration of the two-day event.
