A man riding a bicycle sustained significant injuries following a crash involving a car in Mirfield on Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency services responded to Huddersfield Road after reports emerged of the collision occurring at approximately 3:20pm.
The road was cordoned off by officers from West Yorkshire Police as paramedics treated the injured cyclist.
The male cyclist was transported to hospital where medical staff determined his injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
A West Yorkshire Police representative confirmed on Wednesday that officers had attended the scene following the collision between the vehicle and bicycle.
The spokesperson noted that the cyclist required hospital treatment for serious but non-life-threatening conditions.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service also confirmed its involvement in the response.
A service spokesperson stated that an emergency call was received at 3:15pm reporting the road traffic collision on Huddersfield Road.
Multiple ambulance resources, including an ambulance crew and a team leader, were dispatched to the location where one patient was transported to hospital.
