A children’s charity based in Yorkshire has celebrated a significant achievement after 15 years of assistance from the local community.
The Principle Trust Children’s Charity has accumulated £2.3 million in funds and provided aid to more than 6,300 children since its establishment.
The organisation focuses on giving young people experiencing hardship the opportunity to take restorative breaks away from their daily circumstances.
Mike Davies MBE established the charity in 2011.
The initiative offers respite opportunities to youngsters navigating difficult personal situations such as psychological health issues, past distressing experiences, adverse conditions, financial hardship, medical conditions, and physical limitations.
According to Mr Davies, the organisation’s success stems directly from the dedication of its network of supporters.
He noted that contributions of any magnitude have enabled the charity to fulfill its commitment to vulnerable young people.
The milestone was recognised on September 5, which coincides with International Day of Charity.
The occasion served as a moment to acknowledge the individuals and entities whose generosity has made the charity’s objectives achievable.
Mr Davies expressed his view that the anniversary represents more than organisational achievement alone.
He emphasised that every business, group, and individual who contributed to the cause deserves recognition for their role in creating positive experiences for children in need.
The founder indicated that the journey had reinforced his understanding that meaningful impact requires collective effort from the broader community.
