An individual sustained severe neck trauma following a road traffic incident involving a motorbike and a car in the Queensbury area of Bradford.
The collision occurred on Brighouse Road at 22:00 on Sunday evening.
Emergency services responded to the scene where the male passenger of the black Vauxhall Corsa, aged 18, received treatment for serious injuries before being conveyed to hospital.
West Yorkshire Police subsequently detained two men aged 18 and a 17-year-old youth in connection with the matter.
All three were apprehended on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving.
The force confirmed that the individuals have been released on bail while investigations continue.
Authorities are appealing for members of the public who witnessed the collision or who observed the motorcycle being taken from the scene prior to officers arriving to come forward.
