Former Leeds Rhinos captain Sir Kevin Sinfield is preparing to complete his seventh and final endurance challenge in support of motor neurone disease charities, with a stop at Bradford Bulls’ stadium scheduled as part of the seven-day event.
The 45-year-old rugby league legend launched the 7 in 7: The Grand Finale initiative on Thursday, beginning his journey from Hull KR, the reigning Super League champions.
Sinfield will cover all 12 Betfred Super League venues during the challenge, completing an ultra-marathon distance each day for a week.
The endeavour commemorates his former Yorkshire teammate Rob Burrow, who passed away in 2024 following a four-and-a-half-year battle with MND.
Wednesday’s Bradford visit marks the fourth day of the itinerary.
The route will see Sinfield depart from Wakefield before making a return to AMT Headingley, the home ground of Leeds Rhinos.
From there, the journey continues to the Bartercard Odsal stadium before concluding at Huddersfield’s Accu Stadium.
Each daily segment is broken into seven-kilometre sections, with Sinfield required to finish every portion within 60 minutes before proceeding to the next.
Individuals living with MND have been invited to join him and his team for a mile-long portion daily throughout the event.
Sinfield’s fundraising efforts for the MND community have generated more than £11 million through previous gruelling physical challenges, significantly boosting public awareness of the condition.
The challenge will reach its conclusion at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 3, preceding that evening’s Super League Grand Final.
The Manchester venue holds particular significance, as Sinfield and Burrow secured seven championship titles together during their distinguished careers with Leeds Rhinos at the same stadium.
