Authorities in Bradford have launched a fresh round of enforcement against improper parking practices within a residential area of the city, mere days after similar action resulted in penalties for eight motorists.
Officers attached to the Bradford East Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted additional high-visibility patrols during Saturday evening hours, addressing persistent complaints regarding vehicles blocking access and creating hazards for pedestrians and other road users.
Seven separate automobiles were each served with £30 Fixed Penalty Notices after officers identified them as causing obstructions along Park Side Road, Summerlands Grove and Springwood Gardens.
Law enforcement officials emphasised that the initiative represents an ongoing effort, cautioning that individuals who park in a manner deemed obstructive should anticipate additional financial penalties should similar behaviour continue.
The most recent operation follows an earlier enforcement campaign conducted earlier the same week, during which eight separate drivers received fines for comparable parking violations.
The previous patrol occurred on Thursday, September 24, having been prompted by grievances voiced by local residents during a community consultation forum.
On that occasion, fixed penalty notices were distributed to drivers whose vehicles were positioned in a blocking manner along Park Side Road, Springwood Gardens, Park Way and Woodroyd Terrace, all located within the BD5 postcode district.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police detailed the outcomes of the Saturday operation through official social media channels, confirming that seven obstructing vehicles received £30 Fixed Penalty Notices across the specified locations.
The statement urged motorists to park considerately and refrain from impeding other road users and pedestrians, noting that enforcement action would persist going forward.
