A popular food reviewer sampled Dubai-inspired offerings at a Bradford fast-food establishment.
Danny Malin, formerly of RateMyTakeaway, visited Frangoz on Leeds Road to try the establishment’s mini burgers, which draw influence from a food trend originating in Dubai.
The restaurant, which also serves burgers, chicken wings and fries, has introduced the mini Dubai dip burgers to its menu.
Malin began by sampling the honey chicken burgers accompanied by fries, before progressing to the Dubai mini burgers and the dessert selection.
During the tasting, Malin noted the cheese flavour of the Dubai mini burgers, describing them as featuring a soft butter brioche bun containing a smashed beef patty.
He observed that pickles provided additional flavour to the burgers.
Regarding the honey chicken burgers, Malin commented on the combination of a soft chicken fillet with a crisp outer coating.
He described the accompanying sauce as possessing both smokiness and tanginess, with the barbecue honey sauce providing sweetness.
Malin also assessed the flavour profile of the meat, noting that while stir-fried meat typically features a red tikka sauce, this particular dish opened with sweetness followed by spice.
The dessert offering consisted of Kunafa Dubai pistachio ice cream, which Malin described as having a creamy texture and resembling pistachio chocolate.
Malin offered particular praise for the burger flavours and the sauce accompanying the chicken burgers, describing it as sweet, smoky and tangy.
The Telegraph & Argus made multiple attempts to contact Frangoz for comment, however no response was received.
