Raven Owen, eldest daughter of Amanda and Clive Owen, has built a scientific career following studies in biomedical science.
Raised on the 2,000-acre hill farm at Ravenseat in Upper Swaledale, Yorkshire, she appeared throughout a popular Channel 5 documentary series alongside her eight siblings.
Several Owen children continued working in agriculture alongside their parents.
Raven Owen pursued higher education, leaving the Yorkshire Dales to attend York St John University.
Academic records confirm she graduated in 2022 with a first-class honours degree in biomedical science.
She subsequently completed a master’s qualification in the same field, specialising in oncology research and the development of improved chemotherapy medications.
Public records indicate intentions to pursue doctoral-level study.
Following completion of her postgraduate qualification, she took a position as an assistant scientist at Defra.
Professional listings also reference employment with Normec DETS and prior work in analytical chemistry at Fera Science Ltd.
Her technical expertise includes chemical residue analysis, mass spectrometry and LC-MS methodologies.
Biographical materials indicate she continues to assist at Ravenseat during periods away from her professional commitments.
Early experience on the working farm, including lambing, dairy operations and animal vaccination programmes, contributed to her developing interest in biological sciences.
Television appearances have continued alongside her scientific work.
During filming, she indicated she remained open to returning to rural life after experiencing urban environments, noting that time in the city might eventually draw her back to the countryside.
Her father described her as someone with deep roots at Ravenseat, stating that agricultural life would always remain central to her identity.
The Owen siblings have increasingly pursued distinct professional paths.
Reuben operates a groundworks and machinery business while maintaining his own television presence on Channel 5.
Miles has committed to full-time farming, dividing his time between Ravenseat and his brother’s business.
Raven has pursued exclusively academic and scientific qualifications.
No formal announcement has been made regarding permanent plans to return to Ravenseat.
Statements made during filming indicate she has not dismissed the possibility of eventually relocating back to Upper Swaledale.
