Amadora Frogson, a visual artist working in Sheffield, has been announced as the recipient of the Peak District Artisans Young Emerging Artist Award.
The honour acknowledges and promotes outstanding creative talent among individuals aged between 18 and 30 who are in the early stages of their professional artistic journeys.
Frogson is presently occupied with developing a fresh collection of portrait works for her inaugural solo exhibition, due to commence in August.
At the conclusion of the previous year, Frogson chose to leave her part-time employment, permitting her to dedicate herself fully to her painting practice.
This move marks a notable milestone in both her artistic career and her creative enterprise.
Upcoming exhibitions feature prominently in Frogson’s plans, with her first solo showcase among them.
She is also engaged in new collaborative ventures that unite visual art with regional independent businesses.
Beyond her studio commitments, Frogson contributed to this year’s Pride of Yorkshire Trail by painting one of the lion sculptures featured in the initiative.
The trail serves as a fundraising effort for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
The decorated sculptures are scheduled to appear across South Yorkshire throughout the summer months, with Frogson participating in the project’s forthcoming events aimed at supporting the charitable cause.
