Seven-year-old Bradford City fan named content creator award finalist

A seven-year-old supporter of Bradford City has been selected as a contender for a national content creator prize after developing an increasingly popular online presence with her football footage.

Pippa Powell, from Idle, has earned a place among the finalists in the Best Young Content Creator division at this year’s Content Creator Awards.

The young Bradford fan travels to home and away fixtures with her relatives and has attracted a dedicated viewership by uploading matchday recordings and her assessments of the team’s displays to various online platforms.

Pippa’s mother, Eleanor Powell, explained that her daughter’s venture into content production commenced during the 2024/25 campaign.

She mentioned having spoken about creating football recordings for some time prior to the family deciding to support her interest, which subsequently developed organically.

Pippa documents footage throughout Bradford’s matches before returning home to edit the material and overlay her own observations.

The family attend the vast majority of fixtures regardless of location, with Pippa subsequently editing the recordings and providing her own critique of the contest upon reviewing the footage.

Despite her young age, Pippa harbours aspirations to join Sky Sports in the future.

Through her expanding reputation within the football community, the child has already experienced several opportunities.

She participated in football-themed occasions and received an invitation to stand alongside the pitch at a Wigan Athletic fixture, where she addressed spectators through the public address system to announce the lineups.

Representatives from other clubs have subsequently made contact with the family.

When visiting Wigan, Pippa was granted pitch-side access and provided with a microphone to read out the team sheets to everyone present at the venue.

Last year, Pippa was present at the Content Creator Awards ceremony held in Leeds and secured third place.

She has now received further acknowledgment by reaching the final stage of the competition for 2026.

The accolades evaluate entries through a combination of professional panel scores and community voting.

Balloting remains accessible until the beginning of October, with the official presentation scheduled for November.

The family remain uncertain regarding the origins of her initial nomination, yet appreciate that her efforts have resonated with observers.

While Pippa’s digital footprint continues to expand, her guardians maintain careful oversight of all associated accounts.

Ms Powell clarified that her daughter lacks independent access to platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, with any posts or engagement managed entirely by family members.

The response she has encountered online has been exclusively supportive, and the family feel confident in their supervisory role.

Relatives anticipate that Pippa’s accomplishments might generate future prospects within sports broadcasting and media sectors.

Earlier in the year, she participated in an event organised by a football-related brand and continues to draw interest from clubs and companies impressed by her output.

For the time being, Ms Powell indicated that her daughter is simply savouring the journey thus far.
