A family from Skipton marked a milestone birthday by organising a fundraising effort in support of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Juli Boocock reached the age of 70 in May and celebrated the occasion with two separate gatherings held across a weekend of festivities.
Rather than accepting gifts, Juli requested that friends and relatives contribute donations to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Her three daughters, Sally, Claire and Emma, were among those who supported the initiative.
The combined contributions from the celebrations amounted to £1,000.
Juli explained that she already possessed everything required and viewed the occasion as an ideal chance to support a cause that provides an essential service to the local community.
She expressed gratitude for the support shown by all contributors.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance operates its helicopters throughout the entire year, every day of the week.
Each deployment features a complete crew consisting of a pilot, a technical crew member, a consultant doctor with accident and emergency expertise, and two specialist critical care paramedics.
Funding for the service comes entirely from public donations, grant applications and revenue generated from the sale of previously used aircraft.
