A primary school in Bradford has suspended operations for the day due to infrastructure problems.
Baildon Church of England Primary School, situated on Coverdale Way, ceased operations this morning after losing its water supply.
The closure appeared on Bradford Council’s dedicated webpage for emergency school shutdowns.
The educational establishment was unable to continue operations after its water connection was interrupted.
Restoration efforts were not anticipated to conclude for several hours.
A representative from the school explained that operations could not proceed without water services and that Yorkshire Water had indicated the problem would persist for four to six hours.
The institution noted that additional information regarding academic work pupils could complete at home would be distributed shortly.
The closure follows another temporary shutdown at Newby Primary School, located on Ryan Street in West Bowling, which occurred the previous day.
That disruption stemmed from scheduled maintenance work on the water network conducted by Yorkshire Water.
Reports indicated that Newby Primary resumed normal operations today.
Yorkshire Water acknowledged that properties within the Baildon area were currently experiencing supply difficulties.
The utility company confirmed that residents might be without water or experiencing reduced pressure.
The company advised that once service resumed, some temporary cloudiness or discolouration could occur but would clear after running taps briefly.
The organisation stated it was investigating the matter and expressed regret for the disruption caused.
A spokesperson indicated that teams would attend the site with an expectation that supplies would return to normal within a four to six hour timeframe.
