A programme of unstructured advisory meetings is providing complimentary enterprise guidance to the local business community.
The events are staged at the Shipley Library Enterprise Hub and are accessible to emerging ventures, newly-formed companies, and existing commercial operations.
The initiative, branded Let’s Talk Business, is provided by Invest in Bradford, which functions as the local authority’s commercial assistance division.
Participants receive casual individual consultations addressing subjects such as launching an enterprise, independent work prospects, strategic preparation and expansion, engagement with regional commercial clusters, and obtaining guidance, data and materials.
Executive portfolio holder for the economy, regeneration and planning, Councillor Andrew Judson, explained that the Shipley Library Enterprise Hub was established to assist those launching enterprises, self-employed individuals, newly-created firms and community members seeking to enhance capabilities and prospects for development.
Through collaboration with Invest in Bradford, specialised commercial assistance is being brought closer to local residents, supporting individuals in progressing along their entrepreneurial path, whether they are at the initial phase or managing an existing operation.
The gatherings are available to small and medium-sized enterprises, independent operators and those contemplating business ownership.
Representatives will support participants in examining concepts, determining subsequent actions and establishing connections with appropriate networks and services throughout the region.
Prior booking is not required, and attendees may visit and engage directly with an advisor.
The meetings are scheduled between 10.30am and 2.30pm on September 24, October 22, and November 26.
