A footwear retailer is preparing to shut more than a dozen outlets across the country.

The chain operates from multiple locations nationwide and stocks products from several well-known manufacturers.

The closures affect locations in multiple towns and cities.

Some branches have already begun selling off remaining inventory, with reductions reaching sixty percent at certain sites.

The parent company had previously signalled that workforce reductions and changes to the shop network were likely.

Two other brands under the same ownership entered administration during the first part of the year, resulting in the closure of all their combined locations.

A separate fashion chain is currently undergoing a restructuring process that could lead to the loss of approximately one hundred and fifty shops.

The British retail sector has experienced significant disruption throughout the period.

Several established names have collapsed, while others have announced plans to cease operations entirely.

One fashion company fell into administration and closed all remaining branches, and another followed a similar path.

A third brand is set to wind down its remaining fifteen shops after entering liquidation in May.

A major hospitality group has proceeded with closures across its restaurant portfolio.

The shutdown programme covers multiple chains operating across the country, with specific dates assigned to each brand.

Separately, a charitable retailer announced plans to reduce its presence by approximately one hundred and fifty outlets.

Several other well-known chains, including fashion retailers, discount shops, and restaurant operators, have also shut stores this year.

The owner of a historic British bicycle manufacturer has entered administration, putting the one hundred and thirty-nine-year-old company at risk.

In the travel industry, multiple operators have ceased trading or entered administration.

These include firms ranging from small specialist agencies to larger package holiday providers.

One travel company suspended operations indefinitely while seeking the appointment of an administrator.

In aviation, four carriers have entered administration or liquidation.

A parcel delivery service is set to disappear following acquisition by a rival firm.

Reports suggest one supermarket chain is exploring the sale of certain pharmacy departments as part of cost-cutting measures.

Despite the difficult conditions, some retailers have announced expansion plans for the coming year, with certain brands making a return to the high street after previous closures.
