The trailer for the second series of the celebrity version of the psychological game show has been released, with the official premiere date yet to be formally announced.
However, during a live recording of The Rest is Entertainment podcast, Richard Osman appeared to reveal that the programme would begin airing on September 23.
Osman was joined by co-host Marina Hyde and former contestant Joe Marler, who achieved significant popularity during the initial run of the celebrity adaptation.
Marler was questioned about guidance he would offer to incoming participants, to which he appeared to confirm the upcoming series would commence on September 23.
Osman then acknowledged that the information had effectively been disclosed, stating that the launch date had already been mentioned.
Marler further discussed his experience on the original series, noting a contrast between the two iterations.
He described the first run as having a predominantly humorous atmosphere where contestants engaged in playful behaviour to the extent that production staff intervened to remind participants they were meant to be competing.
The incoming contestants, according to Marler, appear to harbour ambitions for victory from the outset, potentially influenced by the success of the initial series and the resulting competitive pressure.
The complete lineup for the forthcoming series includes Amol Rajan, Bella Ramsey, James Acaster, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett, Julie Hesmondhalgh, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Myha’la, Professor Hannah Fry, Richard E.
Grant, Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp, Sebastian Croft, and Sharon Rooney.
The BBC declined to provide comment when approached.
