A jewellers in Bradford was broken into by six masked offenders who used a 4×4 vehicle to force their way into the premises during daylight hours.
The incident occurred on Duckworth Lane in Bradford on September 5.
The pickup truck repeatedly struck the shop entrance just before 1.30pm after an initial attempt to break through the window proved unsuccessful.
The perpetrators then entered the store and stole jewellery while employees and members of the public were present inside the premises.
Staff members attempted to intervene, though the entire event concluded within seconds.
West Yorkshire Police received a report of the ram raid at 1.19pm and attended the scene.
An investigation was launched immediately, with officers maintaining a presence at the location while enquiries progressed.
Authorities appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in contact via the West Yorkshire Police website’s Live Chat facility or by telephoning 101, quoting reference log 737 dated September 5.
CCTV recordings captured the grey pickup truck reversing toward the shop before accelerating forward to strike the premises multiple times after failing to breach the window on the first impact.
Individuals inside the store were observed embracing one another as the vehicle collided with the building.
The footage further revealed six individuals clad entirely in black clothing, with hoods obscuring their faces and masks covering their features.
The group exited three vehicles and proceeded to help themselves to jewellery items while employees looked on.
A member of staff at the establishment brandished a baseball bat and hurled objects at the intruders.
The offenders eventually departed in two additional vehicles, described as a blue hatchback and a silver sports utility vehicle.
Prior to their escape, an individual from the shop struck the rear window of one of the fleeing vehicles with the bat.
The complete front section of the retail outlet sustained extensive damage.
Emergency services comprising police officers and fire crews responded to the scene.
Cordons were established around the area, resulting in traffic congestion along Duckworth Lane.
A grey pickup truck was photographed positioned partially on the pavement, its flatbed oriented toward the shattered shop window.
Investigators have yet to confirm whether this vehicle was the one utilised during the robbery.
The targeted business is believed to be Pakistani Jewellers, a retailer specialising in Mirpuri-designed jewellery.
Duckworth Lane has experienced similar criminal activity previously this year, with another jewellery establishment having fallen victim to a comparable raid in March.
A social media post attributed to Akhlaq Ahmed suggested the road closure accounted for traffic delays experienced by commuters in the vicinity.
Motorists were encouraged to utilise alternative routes when travelling past the affected street.
Detectives are continuing with their investigation and are requesting anyone possessing information, footage, or details regarding the vehicles involved to contact West Yorkshire Police.
