The leisure airline has significantly expanded its summer 2027 schedule at Leeds Bradford Airport by introducing more than 10,000 additional seats across key European destinations.
The capacity increase amounts to exactly 10,700 seats, providing travellers from the Yorkshire region with enhanced access to popular holiday spots including Chania in Crete, Heraklion in Crete, Almeria on the Spanish coast, the Halkidiki peninsula in Greece, and Verona in northern Italy.
This development forms part of Jet2’s broader Summer 27 programme, which is boosting operations across 22 routes departing from all of the airline’s UK bases.
The airline’s chief customer officer, David Hills, commented that customers had expressed strong interest in arranging their summer travel plans well in advance, with particular enthusiasm observed for trips positioned both before and after the traditional peak season.
He noted that the new seats would give Yorkshire-based holidaymakers greater flexibility to secure early bookings and select departure dates, flight times, and destinations that aligned with their preferences.
Several seasonal service extensions have also been announced.
Weekly Thursday departures to Chania will operate between April 1 and April 29, while Heraklion will receive Wednesday services from April 7 through April 28.
Almeria is set to gain Saturday flights during the April 3 to April 24 window.
Furthermore, Jet2 has confirmed that its routes to Halkidiki and Verona will continue operating beyond the standard summer season, with flights maintained on a weekly basis from Yorkshire into October.
