A benefit concert commemorating Elvis Presley’s iconic 1973 Hawaii performance will generate financial support for emergency relief efforts in Ukraine.
The production, titled Aloha From Hawaii, is scheduled for Sunday, January 17, 2027, at Bingley Arts Centre.
Two local Rotary organisations, The Adventurers Rotary Club and the Aire Valley Eagles Rotary Group, are coordinating the occasion.
The performance marks more than five decades since the legendary American singer’s landmark concert.
Proceeds will be directed to the Huddersfield to Ukraine Humanitarian Aid Group, which coordinates aid shipments to conflict-affected regions.
The aid organisation was established by Tim and Deborah Marsden.
Gary Gardner, who serves as group director for the Aire Valley Eagles Rotary Group, expressed admiration for their sustained commitment to the humanitarian effort.
Gardner noted that the Marsdens demonstrate exceptional dedication to assisting populations whose daily existence has been profoundly disrupted by ongoing conflict.
The entertainment lineup includes tribute performer JD King, alongside the Burning Love Band and the Sweet Soul Singers.
Representatives from the aid group stated that contributions from ticket sales would enable essential supplies to reach those in need across considerable distances.
Tickets can be obtained through bingleyartscentre.co.uk or by telephoning 01274 567983.
