A Bradford man has received a prison term exceeding five years after being convicted of drug offences.
Andrew Leeming, aged 42 and residing in Cockcroft Grove, Holme Wood, received his sentence at Bradford Crown Court.
The term handed down was five years and six months.
Leeming pleaded guilty to charges including involvement in the distribution of crack cocaine and heroin, as well as to acquiring property through criminal means.
The case originated from an operation conducted by officers assigned to the Operation Sweetgill team.
A search warrant was carried out at his residence during September 2024.
During the raid, authorities recovered several mobile phones and more than £13,000 in currency from the property.
Sergeant Charlie Smallwood of the Bradford South Neighbourhood Policing Team commented on the outcome, stating that the sentence reflects the seriousness with which the courts treat such matters.
The sergeant noted that the removal of illegal narcotics from the community remains a priority for the team, with continued efforts directed at making Holme Wood a safer environment.
Members of the public with information regarding drug-related criminal activity were invited to contact officers through appropriate reporting channels.
