A man has died following a road traffic collision in Bradford, with two women subsequently detained by officers.
Emergency services attended the scene on Killinghall Road in the vicinity of Bradford Moor Park shortly before 21:00.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the male victim was declared deceased at the location.
The individuals taken into custody are a 19-year-old and a 47-year-old.
Both have been held on suspicion of dangerous driving and remain in police detention.
Detective Inspector Paul Conroy, from the Major Collision Enquiry Team, stated that inquiries were underway to establish the precise circumstances surrounding the incident.
He described the occurrence as a very serious matter and indicated that investigations were continuing.
Officers have expressed a desire to hear from any members of the public who witnessed the collision or possess relevant footage of the event.
