Police officers recovered a stolen vehicle within 20 minutes of receiving a report about its whereabouts.
The recovery took place on Wednesday, September 2.
PCSOs Ditta and Masoud were stationed at the Weymouth Avenue Contact Point when a local resident approached them with relevant information.
The post described a silver Nissan Qashqai that had been taken during a break-in.
The resident added that the car had been spotted driving past their property on the evening it disappeared.
Officers conducted a search of the nearby area.
The stolen car was found by 11.20am, exactly 20 minutes after the initial tip was received.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson stated that this case demonstrated how valuable community intelligence could be.
The spokesperson noted that a brief conversation at a contact point, combined with an alert resident and proactive officer work, resulted in the recovery of a stolen car in just 20 minutes.
