A charitable initiative is underway across establishments in Bradford this month, with local pubs joining forces to tackle food insecurity in the region.
Several venues in the city, including The Crown Hotel and the Malt Kiln Inn, have signed up for the Heroes of Hunger programme.
Under the scheme, five pence from each pint of Carling sold will be directed towards supporting local food banks.
The month-long fundraising effort spans participating outlets throughout Yorkshire and the Humber, with every drink purchased contributing to community efforts to address food poverty.
Last year’s campaign generated more than £15,000 in donations to food banks across the area.
The initiative represents a partnership between Carling and Proper Pubs, which operates as the community wet-led division within Admiral Taverns.
A representative from Proper Pubs indicated that both organisations are hoping local residents will visit participating venues throughout September to demonstrate their backing for the cause.
Additional establishments taking part in West Yorkshire comprise the Cavendish in Keighley, alongside the Black Lion Hotel, Broadway, and the Butterbowl Hotel in Leeds.
All proceeds will benefit food banks operating throughout the region.
