Bradford’s annual Christmas lights illumination is set to take place at The Broadway shopping centre on Saturday, November 14.
The Festive Launch event has become a major fixture in the district’s calendar, traditionally staged approximately six weeks before Christmas Day.
Organisers confirmed the date as the countdown to the festive season officially begins.
Additional information regarding this year’s entertainment lineup and schedule is anticipated to be released in the coming weeks.
The celebration typically features live musical performances, family-oriented activities and seasonal attractions.
The event draws thousands of visitors to the city centre and signals the commencement of the Christmas shopping period for retailers and hospitality venues at The Broadway.
Previous years have showcased an array of musical acts.
London-based R&B group Eternal headlined the most recent celebration, having formed in 1992 with original members Easther and Vernie Bennett, Kéllé Bryan and Louise Redknapp.
Additional performers at that event comprised tribute act Rob-B-Williams, saxophonist Ellie Sax and bhangra collective Punjabi Roots.
Irish quartet B*witched headlined the celebration two years prior.
The 1990s pop group comprises twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch alongside Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O’Carroll.
The Broadway General Manager Ian Ward stated that the illumination ceremony has emerged as one of the district’s most well-attended seasonal occasions in recent years, fostering community spirit.
Further announcements concerning the upcoming event remain forthcoming.
