A young performer has emerged in cinema alongside major international stars.
Eleven-year-old Rory Wilmot, who trains at the Bradford-based Articulate Drama School, takes a leading role opposite Gal Gadot in The Runner, an action thriller launching on Prime Video on September 2, 2026.
Wilmot portrays Noah Marten, the child of Gadot’s character Maia, a legal professional who must navigate London while adhering to instructions from an unknown caller in order to rescue her kidnapped son.
The production also stars Damian Lewis and Alfred Enoch.
The young actor spoke positively about working with filmmaker Kevin Macdonald, describing him as enjoyable and receptive to collaboration.
According to Wilmot, the ensemble cast proved supportive and welcoming throughout production.
The director was noted as maintaining clear artistic direction for the project.
Wilmot’s training comes through Articulate Drama School and Agency, located in Shipley, which provides instruction and representation for aspiring performers across various age groups in television and film.
Central to The Runner is the bond between the attorney character and her son, a connection Wilmot suggested translated convincingly to screen.
He noted the relationship felt genuine given his character’s status as an only child, and that Gadot’s approach to the maternal role felt natural and believable.
Wilmot has accumulated screen experience through appearances in the television programme FBI: International and the Netflix drama Unchosen, where he played the character Anthony.
The upcoming Harry Potter television series from HBO will feature Wilmot in the role of Neville Longbottom.
Having developed skills through face-to-face instruction at the drama school, he represents a new generation of northern-based talent gaining traction in the entertainment sector.
The Runner marks another step forward in his expanding career, with the film premiering on Prime Video from September 2, 2026.
