Bettys Café Tea Rooms situated within RHS Garden Harlow Carr will undergo a temporary closure lasting one month to enable comprehensive improvements to both the dining area and retail space.
The establishment will be inaccessible to visitors between September 7 and October 5 while renovation works are carried out.
Liz Thwaite, who serves as head of site at RHS Garden Harlow Carr, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming changes, noting the continuation of the long-established relationship between the garden and the Yorkshire-based brand.
She acknowledged that Bettys has become an integral part of the visitor experience and indicated anticipation for welcoming customers back to an updated café setting in the autumn season.
The wider garden complex will maintain normal operating hours throughout the refurbishment period.
Alternative catering options will be provided for those visiting during this time.
Patrons wishing to visit Bettys during the closure may access the nearby Harrogate location or utilise the online ordering service for products.
Upon reopening, improvements will include renovated interior decoration, the complete food and beverage selection, and a newly installed Bettys To Go Window positioned near the garden entrance for takeaway purchases.
Nicky Sellers, branch director at Bettys, stated that the investment would enhance the overall atmosphere and provide an improved experience for visitors to the Harlow Carr location.
