Emergency services were alerted to an incident in Bradford during the early hours of Monday morning.
A man sustained stab wounds following a confrontation that occurred on Midland Road.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed that four individuals arrived at the location in a motor vehicle at approximately 3am.
The victim and additional men were present in the street at the time.
During the subsequent altercation, one of the newly-arrived men attacked the victim with a bladed weapon.
The injured man, aged 36, subsequently sought medical treatment at hospital for his wound.
Authorities have stated the injury does not appear to pose a threat to life.
Officers have been examining the Midland Road vicinity as part of efforts to determine the complete sequence of events.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or possesses relevant footage to come forward.
Investigators are seeking details regarding the period between 3.10am and 3.20am on Monday 31 August, when the confrontation involving multiple individuals occurred.
