A stolen moped has been found by officers after they were on patrol on foot in the Idle district of Bradford.

On June 16, two police community support officers spotted a group of young people behaving suspiciously in the area.

The group scattered and ran away, abandoning a moped which was subsequently verified as having been stolen.

After their investigations and checks on the moped, officers verified their suspicions that the vehicle had been reported as stolen, according to a West Yorkshire Police representative.

The moped has now been retrieved by West Yorkshire Police and the owner has been contacted.
